Products and services
The categories within Products and services are now managed by Government Procurement Service.
The NHS spends in excess of £17 billion on goods and services every year. It is vital, in order to maximise the amount of funds available for direct patient care, to procure these goods and services as effectively as possible.Products and services are obtained by the NHS via a number of routes, including:
- national framework agreements negotiated on behalf of the NHS by NHS PASA - see left hand menu for these products and services
- national framework agreements negotiated on behalf of the NHS by NHS Supply Chain - see their website (www.supplychain.nhs.uk/) the products and services they procure
- pan-Government framework agreements negotiated on behalf of all government bodies by Government Procurement Service
- regional agreements negotiated by, or on behalf of, NHS regional collaboratives
- local agreements negotiated by individual NHS bodies.
