The Energy Team is one of the specialist category groups at Government Procurement Service, developing and working within framework agreements that cover – electricity, gas, liquid fuels, coal and associated services such as Automatic meters.
Like all framework agreements, these arrangements with multiple suppliers in some areas of purchase, enable our customers to procure their energy needs on specially negotiated, advantageous contracts that eliminate the need for individually-agreed deals and reflect the combined buying power of our portfolio.
In the particular case of energy, our operational processes also enable us to spread and reduce the cost risks normally associated with this volatile market, and to provide critical information for budgeting purposes.
