Laundry & Linen Services
The new Laundry & Linen Services framework agreement offers a quality service, delivered to NHS Laundry Standards (currently under review), for NHS Trusts and other public sector organisations throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The provision of a cost-effective and quality controlled laundry & linen outsourced service supports both the objective of delivering savings for the NHS and the Department of Health’s objective of enhancing the safety and quality of services for users and patients.
A choice of four lots is available:
- Lot 1: Wash & return
- Lot 2: Linen hire
- Lot 3: Hire of CE marked reusable barrier theatre textiles
- Lot 4: Mop hire
Benefits include:
- Investment - encouraging new investment into the market.
- Capacity - increasing the capacity available to the NHS and wider public sector as standards increase.
- Savings - potential savings can be made.
Laundry Standards
- HSG 95(18) being updated.
- Compliance with new CFPP 0104 (formerly HTM0104) when it is finalised.
- Essential Quality Requirements now.
- Move to Best Practice level during life of the framework.
- Can also facilitate improved standards and decrease Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAIs).
