In the award of the framework relating to Multifunctional Devices and Services, Managed Print Service and Print Audit Services (Ref RM1599), Government Procurement Service has worked closely with Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO) and Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation (YPO) in aggregating its requirements and establishing a national framework of suitably experienced, capable, qualified and resourced suppliers available for use by all public sector bodies including Central Government Departments and the Wider Public Sector.

A formal tender process was conducted using the Open Procedure in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) Ref: 2011/S 228-370327; inviting bids in relation to the provision of the specified requirements.

The Invitation to Tender (ITT) was structured into 4 separate lots. The resultant framework (Ref RM1599) is categorised to reflect the requirements of the 4 lots.

The Framework Agreement is in place for an initial two year period commencing 6 March 2012 until 28 February 2014, with two further options to extend for a further 12 months (subject to an annual review). Therefore, the maximum period for the framework is four years (with a commencement date of 6 March 2012 and an expiry date of 29 February 2016).

The framework has an estimated value ranging from £704M to £904M over its maximum life. (Note - all references to values and volumes of business are for guidance only and there is no guarantee of business).

The scope of the framework covers a wide variety of requirements categorised into the following Lot structure:

Lot 1- Limited Range of Standard Specification Devices and Services

Lot 2 - Full Catalogue offering of Multifunctional Devices and Services (inc. Print Room Services)

Lot 3 - Managed Print Services

Lot 4 - Print Audit Services
