G-Cloud Services
G-Cloud Framework RM1557
The G-Cloud Framework allows customers from the wider public sector to purchase services covering Infrastructure (IaaS), Platform (PaaS), Software (SaaS) and cloud supports services. The difference between G-Cloud and other frameworks is that customers do not purchase hardware equipment or software licenses, instead they pay for services as they consume them.
This initial G-Cloud framework is arranged over four lots covering;
- Lot 1 IaaS - Infrastructure as a service
- Lot 2 PaaS - Platform as a service
- Lot 3 SaaS - Software as a service
- Lot 4 Specialist cloud services
Lot 4 is for services outside of the three traditional ‘aaS’ areas to support customers taking on cloud services.
